Survey Finds 90% of Latinos returned Census.

It appears the word got out about the importance of filling out and returning the Census to get adequate representation in Washington. In a recent poll the majority of immigrants polled said they believe that government will keep their information private. The Pew Hispanic Center survey, released last week, looks like it has squashed any fears that Hispanic/Latino comminuty has with the government's less then stellar preformance to take on immigration reform so far. It appears that everyone understands the huge importance of standing up and being counted. The Hispanic community is around 15% of the country's population, but they do not lead the minorities when it comes to mailing back the Census. But this recent survey shows this trend may be turning around and going from a fearful Hispanic/Latino community to one that shows its strength in numbers at the polling booths. A little over 50 % of the country's population has returned the Census.
