Victories

One dispute was dropped in Arizona immigration lawsuit case.

A Phoenix federal judge, dropped one lawsuit in AZ numerous immigration lawsuits against them. United States District Judge Susan Bolton yesterday allowed the state's motion to drop the case against them. It was filed back in July of this year by the League of United Latin American Citizens. They were claiming that the training documentation that was used by law agencies in Arizona promoted ethnic profiling and racial profiling. Judge Bolton announced that the league was without standing and they did not prove any substantial evidence of immediate threat of harm. Right now the Department of Justice lawsuit opposing parts of the State of Arizona new immigration law is yet to be determined in the 9th United States Circuit Court of Appeals in San Francisco. Let's hope that the Appeals Court does the right thing and shoots down the racist law.
