Republicans defeat DREAM ACT Bill in Senate.

Texas Republicans in the Senate that were uncaring to the plight of thousands of children who's parent brought them to this country while undocumented, stood along the side of other Republicans today to stop this much needed bill. The Obama Administration, Democrats and Comprehensive Immigration Reform supporters were unable to gain the 60 votes they needed to stop a Republican filibuster that would have given hope to thousands of children to have a path for citizenship. The Senate vote was 55-41 this virtual kills any hope of this legislation passing anytime soon. Republicans accused Democrats of just trying to slam this bill through the lame duck session without the proper protocol by going through hearings or the ability to amend the bill. Republicans put out a statement that they are sympathetic to the problems of these children but they can not back this bill. Just more talk from the Republican party, all they respond to is votes on election day. The 2012 Presidential elections will be here before you know it.

Republicanos hizo una declaración que simpatizan con los problemas de estos niños, pero no puede realizar copias de este proyecto de ley.
