Some GOP arguments against DREAM Act legislation.

First off to be able to qualify for the DREAM Act legislation immigrants would have had to came into the United States before they reach the age of 16 and have resided in the United States at least 5 years in a row before the bill’s execution. Then one must be enrolled to a college or received a high-school diploma or GED certificate; and last but not least have no major criminal record.
The misguided Republican believes that the DREAM Act must not be allowed to pass. It is not suppose to pass. It should not even be allowed to be voted upon! The only purpose it has is to rally voters for the Democrats in the Presidential election in 2012. The DREAM Act is a fantasy and a total abomination of legislation with very disastrous consequences.
The price savvy Republicans believe that each undocumented immigrant that attends a public institution will be granted a subsidy for tuition from American citizens to the tune of almost $6,000 for every year that the student goes to school. The estimated expensive in some circle is a price tag of $6.2 billion a year. This figure does not take into account any other financial help a student may need.
The moral Republicans believe the DREAM Act sends a terrible message. And what is that message you may ask? The message would be that if you were brought to the United States with no say in the matter before you turned 16 and you stay in the country for 5 years you are assured you will become a citizen. You will not have to worry about getting deported. Nor would you have any danger of having your application held against you.
How sad it must be for some people to go through life so full of cynicism and hatred against their fellow human beings. For anyone to suggest that a child who has no say over what their parents do or where they live, should be penalized or pay the price for it, is just wrong. Shame of them.

Hello, I felt compelled to send a letter in the mail and share my experience with Kretz & Romero for anyone looking for a good immigration law firm. I found Kretz & Romero strictly by the internet, when I did a Google search for an immigration attorney in the Roswell area. I was rather impressed by their dominance in the search engines and I was compelled to give them a call especially after reading their testimonial section of their website. I have only been a client of theirs since March of 2011 but have already seen great results after they processed my filing so rapidly. Another big plus for me was being able to be in contact with my attorney (Cathy) if a question came up, that was very important to me. I had heard that the attorneys at Kretz and Romero were great on numerous occasions. I was in need of getting my green card and after talking to family and friends they had also mentioned that they thought I should go see Kretz & Romero to help me to get my green card. Then I saw them on TV and decided to give them a call. After talking to one of the attorneys I felt very comfortable hiring them to help me get my green card. All the staff at Kretz and Romero are very nice and they always answer the phone and answered all my questions. I now have my green card so I'm able to work now. I think if I chose any other immigration attorney my process would have been slower and I wouldn't have my green card already. I have been a client of Kretz & Romero Law P.C. for about four months. My husband got picked up by ICE in September 2012. I didn't want him to get deported because he had been deported before. I think I called about every immigration attorney I could possibly call and they all told me that they could not help me. Several people told me to call Kretz & Romero. I called and made an appointment with Kretz & Romero and also had another appointment that afternoon with a different immigration attorney that was also referred to me.
