Victories

Government taking on Arizona immigration law.

The United States Justice Department threw in their lawsuit among a handful of other lawsuits over the legalality of Arizona's new immigration law. This law is clearly aimed at seeking out undocumented immigrants who many Pro-immigration activists claims will lead to racial profiling. This has set into motion the fight against the federal government and the state of Arizona immigration law, which the feds say violates the constitution. The lawsuit spells out clearly that Arizona's law which demands state and local law enforcement to question and possibly arrest undocumented immigrants during any lawful stop, which clearly falls on the federal government jurisdiction.  Most constitutional law experts believe that by the federal government throwing its hat into the ring, it puts a lot of creditablity into the controversy that federal law will override Arizona law in the end.
