Tens of Thousands showed up for Rally in D.C.

Pro-Immigration advocates from all over the United States marched in D.C. for comprehensive immigration reform. Many in the crowd waved U.S. flags and grasping banners with phrases, in both English and Spanish such as "Legalization yes, deportation no." About 1/2 hour after the march began at 2 p.m., almost 4 full blocks on the mall was backed with a sea of humanity. Designers of the event estimate tens of thousands of people had arrived from around the United States for the rally, which was promoted by a numerous communities, labor and church organizations. Supporters of immigration reform have been disappointed by the Obama administrations slow action for comprehensive immigration reform. President Obama's has recently stated that he will do everything possible to fix the broken immigration system. The organizers of the event pray Sunday's rally will re-ignite the Congress effort.
