Can Arizona's new immigration law be overturned?

Arizona's new immigration law is extremely questionable, and a great many people who disagree with the law demand it is unconstitutional. This group of people are hopeful that the new Arizona immigration law will be overturned by the United States Supreme Court and found unconstitutional. An easy decision one may think, right? Well maybe not so fast because the Supreme Court has NOT been overturning controversial state laws. Arizona's new immigration law may fall into this category as well. Arizona's stance is that they are not overstepping federal law but merely enforcing it. They are even finding previous Supreme court cases to back their postion such as a descision in 1976 of De Canas v. Bica. Time will tell if this tactic will win out in the end for Arizona and other states that try to use this technique to do racial profiling in their states.
