DREAM Act closer to a Vote.
With support growing in the entire country, tens of thousand of students are lobbying Congress for support of the Dream Act. This would allow a pathway of up to two million kids that came into the United States before reaching 16 years of age. Backers of the Dream Act is gaining a huge support base which is trying to get a vote in the Senate by as soon as this coming week. And it is just not students who are pushing for this bill to get a vote and passage but, teachers and religious organizations are fighting aggressively for the hope of millions of kids to improve their futures either through going to college or going into military service. The Hispanic and Latino voters showed up for Senate Majority Leader Harry M. Reid (D- Nev), which without this communities support would of probably lost his re-election bid over Sharon Angle. And House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) is also showing her support that they will push the Dream Act (Development, Relief and Education for Alien Minors Act) in the last days of the 111th session of Congress. President Obama has also been in favor of this bill as well, but as of yet has been unable to concentrate many efforts towards this solution. In fact he has taken a tough stance on immigration lawbreakers, using Homeland Security to find and deport immigration lawbreakers, while strengthening our Southern border. Obama is also lobbying hard for passage of the DREAM Act for this Congress.

Presidente Obama también ha estado a favor de este proyecto de ley también, pero hasta el momento ha sido incapaz de concentrar los esfuerzos de muchos hacia esta solución.
