Brewer gets knocked down again by the Courts.

You would think that as much as Arizona's Governor Jan Brewer has been shot down in the Courts in the past year she would be wising up to not be passing discriminating legislation in her state. The latest law getting knocked down by the courts is Proposition 200 which wanted to make voters show proof of citizenship before registering to vote and then provide identification before voting. Now you may ask that sounds reasonable what is wrong with that idea? Well for one thing it is not consistent with the National Voter Registration Act. It seems Arizona politicians talk a mean game about wanting people to obey the law they don't seem to be able to do it themselves by writing legislation that goes against federal law. On Tuesday a ruling was handed down by a 3 judge panel by the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals. They determined that Proposition 200 did not cohere to the National Voter Registration Act. The Act protects low income citizens and people that do not have driver's licenses or birth certificates to be able to vote. Needless to say Ms. Brewer was a bit upset. Let's see how her temper is on November 1 when she is expected to attend an appeals hearing on another of her controversial laws.

Hello, I felt compelled to send a letter in the mail and share my experience with Kretz & Romero for anyone looking for a good immigration law firm. I found Kretz & Romero strictly by the internet, when I did a Google search for an immigration attorney in the Roswell area. I was rather impressed by their dominance in the search engines and I was compelled to give them a call especially after reading their testimonial section of their website. I have only been a client of theirs since March of 2011 but have already seen great results after they processed my filing so rapidly. Another big plus for me was being able to be in contact with my attorney (Cathy) if a question came up, that was very important to me. I also really like that the entire staff and attorneys are fluent in Spanish and English. I had heard that the attorneys at Kretz and Romero were great on numerous occasions. I was in need of getting my green card and after talking to family and friends they had also mentioned that they thought I should go see Kretz & Romero to help me to get my green card. Then I saw them on TV and decided to give them a call. After talking to one of the attorneys I felt very comfortable hiring them to help me get my green card. All the staff at Kretz and Romero are very nice and they always answer the phone and answered all my questions. I now have my green card so I'm able to work now. I think if I chose any other immigration attorney my process would have been slower and I wouldn't have my green card already. I have been a client of Kretz & Romero Law P.C. for about four months. My husband got picked up by ICE in September 2012. I didn't want him to get deported because he had been deported before. I think I called about every immigration attorney I could possibly call and they all told me that they could not help me. Several people told me to call Kretz & Romero. I called and made an appointment with Kretz & Romero and also had another appointment that afternoon with a different immigration attorney that was also referred to me.
