Victories

Hispanic high school students told they resemble Asians.

Well with all the craziness in this midterm election I thought I would share this bit of a nugget for your reading enjoyment. Last week Sharron Angle a Republican candidate for Senator in Nevada was speaking to a group of students that mind you was comprised entirely of Hispanic kids at a Las Vegas high school. Ms. Angle was answering questions the students had for her regarding her position on undocumented immigrants and namely recent compaign ads she has been running of dark skinned men (presumedly illegal Mexicans) crossing a fence. She said her ads were just misunderstood and that she is not even positive if Hispanics were used in the commerical. Then she went on to say and I quote "some of you look a little more Asian to me". Needless to say the audience was taken back with audible moans, groans and whispers throughout the crowd. Ms. Angle was also asked about a state scholarship that benefited Hispanics, which she said she supports but later she changed her tune and said that while she was a state representative she had vote against that scholarship because it would let a non-citizen get a government paid tuition. Just when you think things can get any more bizarre, bizarre rears up its ugly head!
