With the Obama administration cracking down on undocumented immigrants and deportations which by the way is at an all time high. And numbers like administrative arrests which have fallen by almost 80 percent and criminal arrests have declined around 60 percent, and with indictments down at almost 65 percent, and with convictions dropping by almost 70 percent since 2008. Some would say these numbers are misleading because these figures are down as others point out the system is working. People like Representative Lamar Smith, Texas Republican, is one who believes the glass is half full. He has commented that with millions of U.S. citizens struggling to find work right now, it is believed that around 7 million undocumented immigrants are working in America today. He believes stronger worksite enforcement is needed so that Americans would be apply to do the jobs that the undocumented workers are doing. Hmmmm... let's think about this for a second, you have someone in a country that probably speaks little to know English, probably does not have a college degree and you are worried about them taking away jobs from an American citizen? Really, you think that undocumented immigrants are the reason Americans are out of work right now. You think American citizens are looking for sub-minimum wages, no benefits, no job security? Really, is that what you think? Well I think you are sadly mistaken Mr. Smith, and he is just one of the many that is part of the problem in this country today! Let's get to the real issues of the immigration problem and fix them.
