Report shows undocumented immigrants reduced by 66 percent.

One of the latest finding coming out of the Pew Hispanic Center shows undocumented immigration on the decline by 66 percent. In the time frame of 2000 to 2005, there was on average of 850,000 people a year that came into the U.S. without documentation, the report pointed out earlier in the week. With the economic meltdown from the Bush administration, which threw the country into a recession from 2007 and 2009, that figure declined to 300,000. This has actually help reduce the undocumented immigration population to just under 9 percent, the report goes on to point out. Another very important fact is that there has been a reduction in Nevada, Colorado, Utah and Arizona in the same time frame. This data shreds apart the rhetoric that comes out of states saying they need bills like Arizona's SB 1070 because of the tidal wave of undocumented immigrants coming into their states. The report did show though that in the time frame from 1990 to 2009 the amount of Arizona's undocumented immigrants in America has increased. This report also knocks down the rhetoric from Arizona Governor Jan Brewer and the GOP that the Obama administration is easy on immigration enforcement or that we are being overrun by undocumented immigrants into this country.
