Georgia Lawmakers approve racist immigration law.

Well, as we wrote about last week in our Blog reporting about how Georgia lawmakers were looking to adopt an Arizona immigration style law, it appears or fears have been found. The state House and Senate passed this bill, favoring a racial profiling law much like that of Arizona, which is now in the courts to determine if it is Constitutional or not. The bill is now being sent to Governor Nathan Deal (R), who has been silent on whether or not it he will sign this bill into law yet. But if history is any indication, in his stint in Congress he took a hard liners stance on immigration while he served in Congress. If this bill is passed into law it would require police officers to check people arrested of certain crimes and permit them to hold them in it is found they are undocumented immigrants. Also, it would make it a crime of anyone who "knowingly and intentionally" transport or harbor any undocumented immigrants. Lastly, it would make it mandatory that any company that employs more then 10 workers would have to use the E- Verify system to check the immigration status of potential employees.
