Victories

President has vision for immigration.

Yesterday, President Obama made a point at a rally at the headquarters of Facebook Inc.’s in California. While the President spoke to a crowd of well wishers he blasted the GOP's plan they have for the budget. The President ripped apart the ill-thought out plan by the Republicans, who basically wants to take away from the only people that have no real say or power to stop them, the young, the elderly and the poor. That is what the Republicans call a good budget, to take away from the people that have nothing in the first place. Obama denounced this tactic and called upon the wealthiest Americans to help do their part in paying taxes which would put a big dent in the deficit. The President also plugged for “comprehensive immigration reform" that would still allow foreign skilled employees into the United States. Obama went on to say: "We don’t want the next Intel born in China. We want more Andy Groves here, in the United States”. The President made reference to one of the co-founders of Intel, Andy Grove who is a Hungarian immigrant. Obama is a strong proponent on the issue on immigration, which allows the best and brightest minds to migrate to the United States, much like Andy Grove. In contrast the majority of Republicans would like to put a cap on immigration or stop it completely.
