Victories

Presidents meeting on Immigration fixes disappointing.

With the 2012 Presidential election looming, President Obama called upon both sides of the political aisles along with other politicians, company heads, civil advocates, police officials and religious leaders to find a fix for our much needed broken immigration system. The President appears that he is trying to make amends of his political promises of getting immigration reform passed in his first year in office. It is yet to see if his inaction on this matter has hurt him in his bid for his re-election for the Hispanic and Latino community. One thing is for sure, that other candidates will be viding for this fastest growing minority voting group. Obama urged the members that attended the meeting to continue to fight for this issue and to keep it in the light for the upcoming election. Time will tell if it is a little to late to fix his reputation with this community.
