Continued... Troubles For Martinez's Driver License Policy.

As we blogged about earlier in the week about the Somos Un Pueblo Unido group looking into bringing a lawsuit against New Mexico governor Susana Martinez's (R-NM) Driver License Policy, it really is a moot point. This is because even if no group or individuals bring her policy in front of the courts for her verification policy it reeks of controversy on other counts. For starters their are many who will have to come hundreds of mile to an Albuquerque MVD office just to make their appointment in person to verify their residency. Next Martinez's policy could also take undocumented immigrants straight in front of federal immigration officers. This would be asking them to go down the path of deportation. Many people from southern New Mexico who would have trouble getting past check points will get no relief immediately from the Martinez administration to help them verify the residence.
