Victories

Can the GOP afford to be know as the Anti-immigration party.

Lincoln Diaz-Balart, who was once a Republican congressman with Cuban ancestory, agree's with former Florida governor Jeb Bush's startling prediction: “If we become perceived as an anti-immigrant party, America, being a country of immigrants, will never allow us to be the majority party.” This is just not an idle prediction either, this is past history. Spanning from 1932 up to 1964, the Democrats were victorious in 7 out of 9 presidential elections. What was the reason for this success you may ask? Well, a big part had to do with their alliances with the immigrantion community. And even though this country was built on the backs of immigrants, which no one can deny that fact and that the United States is the land of immigrants, it to has its share of immigrant haters. And some politicans play on the fears of these narrow minded people and their racists views to exploit immigrants for their own twisted agendas. Just ask John McCain, he was a supporter on comprehensive immigrtion reform until this latest wave of immigration bashing hit Arizona last year. It will take men and women of exceptionally strong will and morale character to tackle our immigration crisis facing us today.
