Victories

Is Anti-immigrant movement winning the battle?

In 2007 with President George W. Bush trying to push for some sort of immigration reform. Congress failed the country by not correcting our broken immigration system then by not enacting immigration reform. It came up short by just 5 votes then. Today President Barack Obama appears to be fairing no better. With his campaign promise of getting a comprehensive immigration reform law passed in his first year in office falling by the wayside. Now to be fair, with the economic meltdown happening when he took office it is understandable he had to prioritize the crisis's on hand. But today with all the hate attacks on undocumented immigrants from talk shows, radio, politicians, bigots and hate mongers.  Arizona's controversial immigration law only serves to promote racial profiling of Hispanics and Latinos in general, under the disguise of securing our borders, but none the less it reeks of racism. This country has a long history of persecuting  the other guy, just ask the Native Americans, Blacks, Jews, Chinese and Catholics  And today it seems as though some Americans want to target undocumented immigrants. Who will be next I wonder?
