Victories

Hispanics/Latinos and businesses uncomfortable with GOP.

With the Obama administration unable to make good on promises on the campaign trail for immigration reform in his first two years in office so far, many are getting a bit uneasy. Although Obama has cracked down on deportations of undocumented immigrants, more then any previous Presidents in current history, while also adding more security to our Southern border, the Republicans still want more. And now with the GOP taking control of the House of Representatives, the rhetoric is, it still this isn't enough. The growing movement to crackdown on undocumented  immigrants may get some support from conservative Republicans, a handful of independents and even a few Democrats, experts are predicting, it will also alienate the Hispanic and Latino voters along with a lot of businesses. Dan Schnur, director of the Jesse M. Unruh Politics Institute at the University of Southern California believes that this tactic by the Republicans is narrow minded and may give the GOP some wins in the short term but feels the long term damage this will have for their party will be disastrous for them for some time to come.
