AZ Racial Profiling Lawsuit Settled.
Recently a racial profiling case was settle against the self proclaimed tough man on immigration. That's right the Maricopa County Sheriff, Joe Arpaio's was slapped down by a federal judge who ruled that his deputies had no reason to stop the men or detain them for nearly three hours. The judgment went to Julian and Julio Mora to the sum of $200,000. Back in February 11, 2009 Arpaio's deputies were on the hunt for fraud and identity theft criminals. They then pulled over Julian and Julio Mora outside the business and unjustly detained them. The State lawyers said that no one could determine who the deputies were so it was not possible to justify the men being detained. Really? Just what kind of hick state is Arizona? And who says racial profiling isn't alive and well with these bigoted type immigration laws.
