Victories

Produce on Georgia farms wasting away.

Farmers all over Georgia are up in arms that their crops are wasting away on the vines because migrant workers are no longer there to pick the produce. Bryan Tolar, the president of the Georgia Agribusiness Council, has announced that "We don't have a workforce". The Georgia Agribusiness Council is an organization that has the interests of around 700 farmers and agricultural businesses in Georgia. Tolar went on to ask a very important question. "Where are we supposed to get it?" Well, you may be thinking this is just what Republicans had planned isn't it? To get rid of all the unwanted people in the state? But their short sidedness of understanding an issue has backfired on them and their citizens. It has not only scared undocumented immigrants out of the state but it scared most of the legal migrant workers out of the state as well. And now the farmers and citizens in Georgia are paying the price for some politicians bigoted views or at the very least their ignorance in understanding a problem. And with Georgia having an unemployment rate at around 14% you would think there would be no issues with finding people to work the fields, but you would have though wrong. It appears most American citizens have an adversity against hard work out in the elements, who would of thought it. Obviously not the Republican legislators in Georgia.
