Judge to determine what's going to happen with Georgia's racists-undocumented immigration law.
Georgia's' recently enacted immigration law, which was suppose to start on July 1, would allow both local and state law enforcement agencies to look into the immigration status of a "particular type" of people and detain or arrest undocumented immigrants which would then allow them to transport them to either state or federal prisons. Pro-immigration groups defend that this section of the law is unconstitutional because it encourages racial profiling and could even make a routine stop by law enforcement officers take even longer. In turn this this gives police the power to hold people for long periods of time which tramples all over the Fourth Amendment, which protects us all from unreasonable searches and seizures. Another part of the new immigration law which is in contention is the section that go after people who transport undocumented immigrants, give refugee to or encourage them to go to Georgia. The lawsuit contends that Georgia's' new immigration law hampers the federal government's total control to regulate immigration.
