Part 2... Scam Artists Prey on Immigrants.

There are many sad stories of people scamming immigrants out of their hard earned money. One such case happened in New York, where a Puerto Rican who had a criminal history which even included a conviction for bigamy had scammed up to 14 immigrants who were from Guyana out of over $75,000 a piece. The man was passing himself off as a seasoned immigration attorney who had decades’ of experience. All most all of these immigrants had been put in deportation proceedings before New York state prosecutors halted the damage and mayhem he had caused these families. In the beginning of this year he was prosecuted, convicted and sentenced to two years in prison .

An even more typical and reoccurring problem comes from NOTARIO's. This is a Spanish word which describes a certain type of accountant. And while NOTARIO's can do certain legal jobs in a lot of Latin American countries, they DO NOT have any jurisdiction to carry themselves off as an attorney in the United States. Another issue is tax accountants who prey on immigrant by offering immigration services that they are not allowed to supply.

Way too many immigrants have been fooled by people who are either incompetent attorneys or went to a NOTARIO. This is just a large scam that has screw up countless peoples lives and their families. Many unscrupulous NOTARIO's try to lure immigrants in by offering cheaper rates then an attorney but all this will probably get you is a ton of grief and heartache for you and your family both mentally and financially.

Parte 2 ...
