Victories

United States helping secure borders along with Mexico.

Immigration reform organizations are disheartened by what appears to them to be the lack of interest in the media and public on the recent Mexican President Felipe Calderon to the White House last week. President Obama commended Calderon for his "extraordinary courage" for going after drug cartels and putting an end to the violence in the streets, especially on the United States and Mexican border. During a news conference Obama confirmed the United States is committed to helping Mexico, fight and stopping the border violence. He went on to announce that the United States is escalating its strategy to supply   equipment to Mexico and help train their officials in this endeavor. It is about time that action has been taken to help Mexico out with this problem because it then benefits us as well.
