Victories

President still has some influence for the DREAM Act.

With the very recent reintroduction by the Senate Democrats of the DREAM Act the president needs to back it even more then when it was defeated last year. It will be a very tough up hill struggle with Republicans having power in the House and their numbers increased in the Senate. For those of you on the planet that have not heard of the DREAM Act this is a bill that would allow children that were typically brought in to the United States as very young children, and I might add the only country they have ever known, this bill would allow a pathway for them to gain permanent residency and then possibly citizenship. This is no freebie though, they would be required to go to college for a minium of 2 years or go into the Armed Forces and serve our country.
