Undocumented Immigrant Arrests Down In Arizona.

With recent hints out in regards to the number of undocumented immigrants being arrested trying to cross the border in Arizona in the last year the numbers are showing a surprising trend. It shows that the numbers of people arrested in Arizona for illegally crossing the border are down by 40% from last year. Even with the numbers not officially out yet, it is showing the Tucson Sector numbers are the lowest since 1993. Everyone has their take on why we are seeing these staggering numbers. Some contribute it to better fencing, more agents on the ground or maybe it is the superior air support for this reduction. On the other side of the coin people simply point to the sluggish United States economy for the reason for the lower numbers. It is probably safe to say all these factors are playing a part in the reduction of arrests but one thing is for sure both political parties will try to use this information in the upcoming 2012 presidential election to help their cause.
