Undocumented Immigration On The Decline.

With data coming out of both the United States and Mexico showing that undocumented immigration is on the decline. Now there are some obvious reasons why this is happening such as the decline of the United States economy and job market remaining sluggish. Another reason many may find surprising is that criminal gangs in Mexico discourage people from going into the United States. Even the Mexican government shows from its own census that less Mexicans are leaving Mexico and even more returning. In the United States, the Southwest territory which is the main passageway for undocumented immigrants to cross into America the United States Border Patrol reports that arrests is at an all time low for the past 11 months. This number has been on a steady decline since 2000 where a little over 1.5 million people were arrested back then to this years figure of barely over 300,000 people arrested. With the most extremist Republicans and politicians calling for a border fence or even "electrifying" one, it just really shows how out of touch they are on the subject of immigration.
