Governor Susana Martinez (R-NM) Shows Her Ignorance.

When speaking about her own grandparents who had entered into the United States "illegally" back in the 1930's, Martinez commented that times have changed when her grandparents broke the law. She said that the attacks on 9/11 were the turning point on how we should deal with immigrants. Right off the bat this babble makes no sense what so ever. I guess it was ok for her ancestors to break the law because they didn't commit an act of terrorism? To get some facts straight regarding the terrorist on 9/11. First off all the terrorists had come into the country legally on tourist visa's. Now a few of the terrorist had over stayed their visa's this is true. Some also used false documentation to obtain drivers licenses and they all lied on their visa's saying that they were not coming into the country to commit crimes or terrorism. Well, duh the terrorist lied, how shocking but I assume it is one of their job descriptions! Now we can debate all you want whether undocumented immigrants should be able to receive a valid New Mexico drivers license all you want. But do not, and I repeat DO NOT try to equate all undocumented immigrants as terrorists. That is just showing your ignorance on this subject. It is proper that we put safeguards in place to try eliminate or minimize any terrorist attacks on our people but do not use a group of people as scapegoats for the insane actions of another group. The people that wish us harm will do everything in their power to try and hurt us, even if that means they have to follow every law we have put in place to do their dastardly deeds. But there lies the real rub isn't it? You can enact every law you can think of to stop terrorism, you can even close the borders but if terrorists really want to attack us they will find a way. The real problem lies in the intent of the person not the laws we try to put in place to give us a false sense of security.

Pero no, repito NO tratar de equiparar a todos los inmigrantes indocumentados como terroristas. Eso es sólo muestra su ignorancia sobre el tema. Es correcto que pongamos medidas de seguridad para tratar de eliminar o minimizar los ataques terroristas contra nuestro pueblo, pero no use un grupo de personas como chivos expiatorios de las acciones demenciales de otro grupo. Las personas que desean hacernos daño va a hacer todo lo posible para tratar de hacernos daño, incluso si eso significa que tienen que seguir todas las leyes que hemos puesto en marcha para realizar sus actos cobardes. Pero ahí está el problema real no es así? Puede promulgar todas las leyes que se pueda imaginar para detener el terrorismo, incluso se puede cerrar las fronteras, pero si realmente los terroristas nos quieren atacar que encontrará una manera. El verdadero problema radica en la intención de la persona, no las leyes que tratan de poner en su lugar de darnos una falsa sensación de seguridad.

Hello, I felt compelled to send a letter in the mail and share my experience with Kretz & Romero for anyone looking for a good immigration law firm. I found Kretz & Romero strictly by the internet, when I did a Google search for an immigration attorney in the Roswell area. I was rather impressed by their dominance in the search engines and I was compelled to give them a call especially after reading their testimonial section of their website. I have only been a client of theirs since March of 2011 but have already seen great results after they processed my filing so rapidly. Another big plus for me was being able to be in contact with my attorney (Cathy) if a question came up, that was very important to me. I had heard that the attorneys at Kretz and Romero were great on numerous occasions. I was in need of getting my green card and after talking to family and friends they had also mentioned that they thought I should go see Kretz & Romero to help me to get my green card. Then I saw them on TV and decided to give them a call. After talking to one of the attorneys I felt very comfortable hiring them to help me get my green card. All the staff at Kretz and Romero are very nice and they always answer the phone and answered all my questions. I now have my green card so I'm able to work now. I have been a client of Kretz & Romero Law P.C. for about four months. My husband got picked up by ICE in September 2012. I didn't want him to get deported because he had been deported before. I think I called about every immigration attorney I could possibly call and they all told me that they could not help me. Several people told me to call Kretz & Romero. I called and made an appointment with Kretz & Romero and also had another appointment that afternoon with a different immigration attorney that was also referred to me.
