Victories

La Raza Has Called Off Its Boycott In Arizona.

The National Council of La Raza recently put out a statement last week announcing they would be lifting the boycott in Arizona, declaring a victory in that they have helped prevent more states from trying to pass racists and bigoted Arizona style like immigration laws. Other reasons why the group leaders announced for the end of the boycott was they were inflicting hardships on the people they were trying to help. On a more positive note their organization kick started political awareness in Arizona. Some of this included an increase in Hispanic/Latino voters which helped stop Republicans who were looking to change how United States born children of undocumented immigrants are given citizenship. The Arizona boycott is said to have cost the state at least $140 million in lost conventions revenues in a 3 year period and around a billion dollars in total economic loss. A rather costly price to pay for the citizens of Arizona with the Republican controlled lawmakers in charge. They have completely wrecked Arizona's fragile economy with slim to little hope to get their racist immigration laws passed.
