Arizona Sheriff Time Is Running Out In Lawsuit

Well for the United States self-professed toughest sheriff time is running out very quickly for the coming deadline where he will need to decide whether to admit that his officers did indeed racially profiled Hispanics and Latinos in his notorious immigration patrols. In which case he would have to change his tactics on his patrols or he can roll the dice and have his day in court. Yes, that is right your favorite Maricopa County Sheriff, Joe Arpaio is looking at an April 14 deadline that would end discussions with the United States Justice Department to put an end to a large array of civil rights allegations against him. Some of the allegations against him, claim that Arpaio dispatched immigration patrols solely used reports from people that had complained that dark skin people always hung around certain areas or that they spoke Spanish but no crime was ever reported as taking place. Pro-immigration groups are hoping for a settlement to bring about change, while also boosting a completely separate racial profiling case that is suppose to begin this summer. The majority of law enforcement agencies facing such charges usually settle out of court but critics say Arpaio is so arrogant that he may just fight it.
