Alabama HB56 Immigration Law Reported To Discriminate

It has been reported by the Southern Poverty Law Center that the recent new Alabama immigration law has already been found to be discriminative. The Southern Poverty Law Center is one of the many groups fighting against Alabama's racist new immigration law. They have put together a report that they hope will help shed light on this hateful law and help get it rescinded. The report has in it cases of discrimination against Hispanic's and Latino's since the Alabama immigration law was put in place. They called the report "Alabama's Shame: HB 56 and the war on immigrants," the report gives numerous examples of people calling into a hotline that the Southern Poverty Law Center along with other Pro-immigrant groups had set up the hotline last year. The legal director of the Southern Poverty Law Center, Mary Bauer, announced that in the report, is examples of a young child being refused medical assistance, a lady who was ripped off from her earnings and a family who was denied water service at their home for over a month because they didn't have the correct paperwork. State Senator Billy Beasley, D-Clayton, made it known that he has filed a bill to repeal the law. It will probably be ready to go to debate in a couple of weeks. Beasley went on to say that the 12 Democrats in the Alabama Senate will be backing the repeal, but it needs 16 senators to for it to pass.

Hello, I felt compelled to send a letter in the mail and share my experience with Kretz & Romero for anyone looking for a good immigration law firm. I found Kretz & Romero strictly by the internet, when I did a Google search for an immigration attorney in the Roswell area. I was rather impressed by their dominance in the search engines and I was compelled to give them a call especially after reading their testimonial section of their website. I have only been a client of theirs since March of 2011 but have already seen great results after they processed my filing so rapidly. Another big plus for me was being able to be in contact with my attorney (Cathy) if a question came up, that was very important to me. I had heard that the attorneys at Kretz and Romero were great on numerous occasions. I was in need of getting my green card and after talking to family and friends they had also mentioned that they thought I should go see Kretz & Romero to help me to get my green card. Then I saw them on TV and decided to give them a call. After talking to one of the attorneys I felt very comfortable hiring them to help me get my green card. All the staff at Kretz and Romero are very nice and they always answer the phone and answered all my questions. I now have my green card so I'm able to work now. I think if I chose any other immigration attorney my process would have been slower and I wouldn't have my green card already. I have been a client of Kretz & Romero Law P.C. for about four months. My husband got picked up by ICE in September 2012. I didn't want him to get deported because he had been deported before. I think I called about every immigration attorney I could possibly call and they all told me that they could not help me. Several people told me to call Kretz & Romero. I called and made an appointment with Kretz & Romero and also had another appointment that afternoon with a different immigration attorney that was also referred to me.
