President Trashes Romney On Immigration Reform

Last Friday in Florida, President Barack Obama set the record straight in regards to the GOP blocking the DREAM Act legislation a little over a year and a half ago and for the past decade as well. The president went on to say that Republican, presidential hopeful Mitt Romney's has made numerous statements that is he were to become president he would veto this measure. Obama said "We should've passed the DREAM Act a long time ago," and "It was written by members of both parties. When it came up for a vote a year and a half ago, Republicans in Congress blocked it." This legislation has not changed nor has the need for it changed the only thing that is staying the same is the politics that is being played with immigration issues. Sadly Congress simply refuses to move on immigration issues. Obama ended his speech reminding everyone in the audience that just a day before they heard Romney speak of his vision of immigration and that he (Romney) promised to veto the DREAM Act, and that we should take him at his word.
