Supreme Court Says NO To Majority Of Arizona Immigration Law

Yesterday the United States Supreme Court handed down its decision on the controversial Arizona immigration law proclaimed as fighting undocumented immigration. In the 5-3 ruling the justices made it known that states do not have the right to try to supersede federal law. This decision is crucial and will send shockwaves to other copy cat states wanting to try to make their own immigration laws. This decision which was handed down by a majority of Republican justices truly shows that our system works. Republicans trying to save face hailed this decision as a victory for them. They proclaimed that since the justices let stand (for now) one provision that allows law enforcement officers to check the immigration status of someone they stop. But the justices weren't even looking at this provision they were only looking at it if states have the right to overstep federal law and the justices gave a resounding NO. This argument was the best chance that Arizona style laws had to win. Rest assured racial profiling will be coming up next in the courts to decide on whether these type of immigration laws racial profile people when police question someone's immigration status during a routine stop. It is just a matter of time. Justice Anthony Kennedy, said it best in his writing of the majority opinion, when they declared that the federal government's "power to determine immigration policy is well settled." Kennedy went on to say that: "Arizona may have understandable frustrations with the problems caused by illegal immigration while that process continues, but the State may not pursue policies that undermine federal law."

Hello, I felt compelled to send a letter in the mail and share my experience with Kretz & Romero for anyone looking for a good immigration law firm. I found Kretz & Romero strictly by the internet, when I did a Google search for an immigration attorney in the Roswell area. I was rather impressed by their dominance in the search engines and I was compelled to give them a call especially after reading their testimonial section of their website. I have only been a client of theirs since March of 2011 but have already seen great results after they processed my filing so rapidly. Another big plus for me was being able to be in contact with my attorney (Cathy) if a question came up, that was very important to me. I had heard that the attorneys at Kretz and Romero were great on numerous occasions. I was in need of getting my green card and after talking to family and friends they had also mentioned that they thought I should go see Kretz & Romero to help me to get my green card. Then I saw them on TV and decided to give them a call. After talking to one of the attorneys I felt very comfortable hiring them to help me get my green card. All the staff at Kretz and Romero are very nice and they always answer the phone and answered all my questions. I now have my green card so I'm able to work now. I have been a client of Kretz & Romero Law P.C. for about four months. My husband got picked up by ICE in September 2012. I didn't want him to get deported because he had been deported before. I think I called about every immigration attorney I could possibly call and they all told me that they could not help me. Several people told me to call Kretz & Romero. I called and made an appointment with Kretz & Romero and also had another appointment that afternoon with a different immigration attorney that was also referred to me.
