Who's To Blame For The Lack Of Comprehensive Immigration Reform

A recent letter sent to President Obama from 90 immigration law professors, asking him to stop all deportations by executive fiat. In the letter they pinpointed every detail on why and how he can do this legally on the behalf of every student who could benefit from proposed DREAM Act legislation. As you probably already know the DREAM Act would allow children that were brought into the United States but then went on to serve in the Armed Forces or go to college a chance to legalize their status. Some pro-immigration groups and people for that matter, are disillusioned by the fact that the president was unable to keep his promise of getting comprehensive immigration reform passed in his first year of office. Some people forget that we live in a democracy where the two parties must come to a compromise on any subject and that the president does not have the soul say of what laws get passed but can only sign into law after they have been passed through the House and Senate or veto them. Now on the other side of the aisle, Mitt Romney, who has alienated himself against Hispanics and Latinos with his "self-deportation policy," I. E. Arizona's 1070 immigration law and self proclaimed "attrition through enforcement" have left some scratching their heads on who is on who's side. One thing is for sure anyone that thinks if the Republicans get power in the White House and that there immigration problems will magically disappear they are sadly mistaken.

Hello, I felt compelled to send a letter in the mail and share my experience with Kretz & Romero for anyone looking for a good immigration law firm. I found Kretz & Romero strictly by the internet, when I did a Google search for an immigration attorney in the Roswell area. I was rather impressed by their dominance in the search engines and I was compelled to give them a call especially after reading their testimonial section of their website. I have only been a client of theirs since March of 2011 but have already seen great results after they processed my filing so rapidly. Another big plus for me was being able to be in contact with my attorney (Cathy) if a question came up, that was very important to me. I had heard that the attorneys at Kretz and Romero were great on numerous occasions. I was in need of getting my green card and after talking to family and friends they had also mentioned that they thought I should go see Kretz & Romero to help me to get my green card. Then I saw them on TV and decided to give them a call. After talking to one of the attorneys I felt very comfortable hiring them to help me get my green card. All the staff at Kretz and Romero are very nice and they always answer the phone and answered all my questions. I now have my green card so I'm able to work now. I think if I chose any other immigration attorney my process would have been slower and I wouldn't have my green card already. I have been a client of Kretz & Romero Law P.C. for about four months. My husband got picked up by ICE in September 2012. I didn't want him to get deported because he had been deported before. I think I called about every immigration attorney I could possibly call and they all told me that they could not help me. Several people told me to call Kretz & Romero. I called and made an appointment with Kretz & Romero and also had another appointment that afternoon with a different immigration attorney that was also referred to me.
