A: The United States allows approximately 140,000 employment-based visas for applicants that are authorized by the Immigration and Nationality Act.

A: There are 5 classifications:

-Employment First Preference which is commonly known as an (E1)
-Employment Second Preference which is commonly known as an (E2)
-Employment Third Preference which is commonly known as an (E3)
-Employment Fourth Preference which is commonly known as an (E4)
-Employment Fifth Preference which is commonly known as an (E5)

Q: Who can benefit from an Employment First Preference (E1) classification?

A: The E1 classification is for priority workers are broken down into 3 sub-groups:

-Persons with extraordinary abilities in arts, athletics, business, education and sciences.
-Exceptional internationally acknowledged professors and researchers with no less than three years experience. 
-Multinational managers or executives who have held a position with at least one year with a branch, affiliate, parent or subsidiary of a United States employer.

Q: Who can benefit from an Employment Second Preference (E2) classification?

A: This classification is for persons that holds an advanced degree and persons with remarkable accomplishments in business, art or science.

Q: Who can benefit from an Employment Third Preference (E3) classification?

A: The Employment Third Preference (E3) classification has 3 subgroups:

-Skilled tradesmen with no less than 2 years of experience in training or employment.
-Unskilled workers that can absorb jobs that needs under 2 years of work experience or training.
-Persons that are employed with a position that needs no less then a baccalaureate degree or a foreign equivalent degree.

Q: Who can benefit from an Employment Fourth Preference (E4) classification?

A: This classification has a lot of different types of special immigrants, including:

-Religious Clergy
-Specific retired NATO-6 civilians
-Some past employees of the Panama Canal Company.
-Iraqi and Afghan interpreters assisting the United States military.
-Broadcasters working for the International Broadcasting Bureau of the Broadcasting Board of Governors.

A: This classification is for immigrant investors who invest between $500,000 and $1 million in a United States corporation, who establishes no fewer then 10 new full-time jobs.
